K Strummer wins Bexhill Centenary Open

Bexhill Sea Angling Club held it's centenary open on Sunday 26th February and the weather certainly made the conditions excellent for being on the beach. The Winner was K Strummer (pictured)  with 2lb 11oz of fish.

The Results are:

1 K Strummer 2lb 11 oz

2. B Elliott 1lb 61/2 oz

3. C Crosby 1lb 5oz

There were a lot of Plaice (mostly small) caught in the competition which is unusual in itself but particularly so because of the time of year. We don't usually get many Plaice at Bexhill until mid March - and very rarely on the beach. Best Flat was won by B Elliott with a Plaice of 1lb 6oz.

D Knight won best round with a Whiting of 3oz! The highest placed Bexhill SAC angler was Yogi Poland who came in 6th!
 
Over 50 anglers took part and congratulations to the winners and thanks to all who took part on what was a lovely days fishing.
